A very nice cafe on the banks of the Rhine. Very cozy, delicious cakes and the staff is very friendly and gave us a few tips on what else we can do in Cologne. It is definitely worth a visit. The owner's dog also runs around and likes to sniff the leg

Super delicious food! Staff and owner incredibly friendly at all times. You can also talk casually about more personal matters. Food is always fresh, tasty and inexpensive. The quantities are always enough to fill you up. The paninis are simply terrific as a snack between meals. Ordering for lunch is also totally uncomplicated. Call. To order. Pick up. Always worth a visit!

Very nice cafe, super delicious cake, as we learned from the boss of the house baked himself (highly recommended the almond cherry cake). The service is also very friendly and courteous. We will definitely be happy to come back. Keep it up. ??

Very nice little restaurant / cafe, with a view of the Rhine and the Bastei. Home-made food and several home-made cakes and tarts to choose from. Very nice courteous staff. Can also be rented for closed companies. However, the groups should not be too large. The small terrace is very inviting, especially on very hot days, because it is relatively cool due to the roof and the many plants. Price / offer: Very good. However, only open from 12pm to 7pm. Too bad would be a great location for weekend evenings.

Very nice cafe. A great atmosphere with a lot to see. You can also find an impressive selection of delicious cakes here, but you shouldn't neglect the other delicacies either. All in all at reasonable prices. 5 Stars.

A highly recommended cafe. Nice view with delicious sweets and good cocoa. The shop is warm and colorful. The eye does not get bored and the palate is not. There are fresh, homemade cakes every day. The staff is friendly and courteous. As I said, highly recommended.

Stumbled across this cafe. Beautiful decor. Lots of homemade cakes. We had aglio olio and chilli bowl. They have a friendly pet dog too! Yums!

Beautiful hidden gem in Cologne! The food is amazing and the cakes are to die for! The staff are very friendly and the owners are very forthcoming towards their gets needs in feeling right at home. Highly recommend this place.

I am well and truly shocked that this restaurant has such a low rating. Let me tell you something: I am half Italian (my mother is), I was born in Rome and lived there for eight years. I know what authentic Italian cuisine is and how it tastes like. I have lived in countless countries and eaten at countless "Italian" restaurants. Invariably, they adapted their cooking to local tastes and could not be called Italian anymore. Gianni is the first restaurant I know not to have done it. When you eat here, the food tastes like the one you eat in Italy. There is no better Italian restaurant in the whole of Cologne. The only thing you could realistically have against this restaurant is how limited the seating is. The "local guide" who gave it three stars because "flies came in" should consider stopping writing reviews.
